Welcome Cris. Cant wait to find a kiosk somewhere here in Wolverhampton, England so i can finaly play Kameo Big Smile [:D]
I beat the demo, and it is a whole lot of fun, but I would much rather play a differnet part, it didn't really seem to show off that much of the game.

It was probably the best level Rare could have chosen.  For casual gamers that don't know much about Kameo, Thorn's Castle should give them a good taste from what to expect from kameo gameplay wise.  Also, the demo has a pretty good learning curve, so people that don't know how the mechanics of the game work, should do just fine.
Yea you are right although trampling through trolls in the badlands for some people would have been fun

Is this the same Chris Allcock, former Scribes writer and programmer of Mr. Pants 2000 and 2001? If so, congratulations.

I am really curious ... how does someone go about becoming a scriptwriter for games? I would love to know more about Chris' history as a writer, and how games are scripted.

You can read an interview with Chris here.
Also, I believe the Kameo team will be in the Tepid Seat soon, so you could always send specific questions in that way from the main Rare site.

Nice piece of read, that. Yeah, the Kameo Tepid Seat's comming... Maybe before 2008*, but miracles have been known to happen, eh? Stick out tongue [:P]

Well, Chris was also a Play-Tester for Grabbed by the Ghoulies. Check in the credits under 'a flatulent Zombie'. I'm willing to bet that was a cool job. Imagine that for a bit, will you; Hey, Chris! Come over here and hang out with the Banjo-Team for a bit and play their new game for us. What do you mean "I've got some 'fantasy game's' script" to write?! We were going to delay that one, didn't you get the memo?" Wink [;)]

*I've actually bet a dollar that Viva Pinata will be in my grasp before Rare has the K-TS up. Either way, I win!

Re: Please welcome Chris Allcock - Kameo's Scriptwriter

Seems as these here forums have had a bit of an overhaul. Neato. Geeked [8-|]

By the way, MGG, My dollar's staying safe in my wallet for one of two whole reasons:

    1. I made it onto the Tepid Seat. Neat, eh? Cool [H]

    2. My trained troop of Pirate Baboons infiltrated Rare HQ, stole the beta of Viva Pinata and a few beers, crapped all over those stairs that were featured on a few of the past Scribes, and made it out in one piece. Normally my plans are foiled by their tendency to go out of their way to bite folks and be seen from a distance due to the flourecent colors of their hindquarters. Tongue Tied [:S]

*YAWN* It's late, fellow Kameo Forum veteran... I'll have to get back to how I weaseled out of another bet...
